The village of Profitis Elias (formerly known as Gerpesi) is located in the province of Kalavrita, 49 km southeast of Patras on the mountain range of Panachaikos, on the slopes of the homonymous hill and northeast of Mount Erymanthos. It is a village built at an altitude of 1020m above sea level, this mountain village has an excellent climate and is a place of peace and rest. Across the village rises proudly and proudly, Erymanthos, the mountain of fir trees, with its endless springs, legends and traditions. Today the village of Profitis Elias is not inhabited in winter, it serves only as a place of summer residence, mainly for the farmers who come from it, but also for others who have built new houses or restored their old ancestral homes.
